This recipe is quick and easy with a velvety smooth mousse texture and rich chocolate flavor! Incorporating raw, organic cacao lends antioxidant power, while the Siggi’s skyr is rich in protein and low in added sugar. You could also use coconut milk yogurt for a vegan option, but it will not be as high in protein.

Although much of the chocolate you find in the grocery store today is packed with processed sugars, non-organic dairy and other artificial and inflammatory ingredients, pure, raw chocolate has many health benefits!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Stir the cacao powder, coconut sugar, vanilla extract and sea salt into the yogurt to combine well.
  • Gently fold in the coconut whipped cream.
  • Serve chilled and garnish with shaved chocolate if desired.

Notes

For a vegan version, use coconut milk or other non-dairy yogurt. Strain yogurt for a thicker texture.
*For the best thick creaminess, I use a full-fat coconut milk, preferably gum-free and in a non-BPA lined can, chilled to separate the cream from the liquid or So Delicious Dairy Free cartons of coconut milk. Refrigerate the coconut milk overnight, carefully open and scoop out the thick cream from the top to use. Save the coconut water for another use, like smoothies.
